2010 Gymnastics Queensland State Clubs Championships and State Challenges

2010 GYMNASTICS QUEENSLAND STATE CLUBS CHAMPIONSHIPS AND STATE CHALLENGES

The Sunshine Coast will again play host to the annual Gymnastics Queensland State Club Championships, where over 730 of the nation's most talented up-and-coming young gymnasts will battle it out at the Caloundra Indoor Stadium from 17-20 September for the coveted gold medals.

The four-day event, sponsored by Gymnastics Queensland and Caloundra Tourism, features over 45 local and interstate clubs. Participants, aged between 8-25 years, will display their remarkable artistic and rhythmic flair in a range of events including the Sunshine Team Challenge and Border Challenge medal showcasing the best-of-the-best from each club and state.

Kym Dowdell, Gymnastics Queensland Competitive Events Director said that the calibre of the gymnasts improves year after year and this event presents a great opportunity for families and local gymnasts to come and see and learn from the rising stars on display.
