Bicentennial Hall - Home of Trad Jazz

The Bicentennial Hall has long been acknowledged as the festivals Traditional Jazz venue and the 2010 line up is sure to please our 'Trad' patrons with four days of outstanding talent scheduled with special weekend packages available.

The Noosa Jazz festival has always retained its authentic roots and this year will feature some of Australia's best.

Bicentennial Hall is the home of the Noosa Jazz Club, so it offers a specialized setting with plentiful car parking. Every night of the Jazz Festival Bicentennial Hall comes alive with the sounds of great jazz such as Geoff Bull's Olympia Jazz Band, Michael McQuaid's Late Hour Boys and Peter Gaudion's Blues Express.

As a one off exclusive to the Noosa Jazz Festival, Geoff Bull (Sydney) has put together a stellar line up of musicians to present 'the Buddy Bolden Revival Orchestra'. Performances will be supported by research into early jazz history of Buddy and will be narrated by Daniel Hardie. The Buddy Bolden Revival Orchestra aims to present the kind of music Buddy played to jazz lovers and this concert has received rave reviews and will be a 'must see' performance. -- One night only.

Jazz@ Bicentennial Hall will showcase a huge line up of musicians that will bring alive all the music from yesteryear. Also on the program is the queen of Boogie Woogie Jan Preston - Winifred Atwell Show, Sweet Lowdowns and Shuffle Club. The Final Blast on Sunday night will feature a special performance, Warren Vach <http://www.usmevents.com.au/noosajazz/festival_artists.html#warren> in concert with Peter Gaudion.

There will be some unique, never to be repeated performances from the cream of the festival. Once again the music directors will challenge these iconic musicians to blend their talents in a bevy of spontaneous 'true jazz'. The room promises to be filled with expectation and excitement, as most of the time we won't know what will come next.

This is where the grass roots of the festival will firmly be planted and the music that will bellow from its doors will be nothing but spectacular.

The venue will provide unallocated seating for over 300 guests per session and will provide a budget bar and catering at all sessions. This venue is fully licensed (no BYO). Any unsold tickets will be available at the door, but pre purchase is highly recommended to ensure there are no disappointments.

The Bicentennial Hall is a quality self contained purpose built performance centre with a great stage for music. We have put together an amazing array of Jazz talent for the venue and will provide transport to the hall from Hastings Street.

Food and drinks are available to purchase at this venue.
