Federal Member, Alex Somlyay MP has called upon the Federal Environment Minister, Peter Garrett, to do all things possible to fix the oil pollution on the Sunshine Coast beaches.
"Our beaches are vital to our environment, community and economy." Mr Somlyay said.
"The Sunshine Coast is world famous and one of Australia's leading tourist destinations for Australians as well as foreigners. Its beauty has a delicate ecology that needs Federal help immediately."
"I have contacted the Minister's office seeking urgent Federal assistance to clean up this disaster."
