Free Top Line Jazz In The Woods

The tradition of the Noosa Jazz Festival is back again with the event offering free admission to a stellar line up of top entertainment promising to be one of this year's biggest family days out and a great way to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday 5 September.

Jazz in the Woods gets underway from 10.00am with the sweet sounds of the Youth in Jazz and a full entertainment program till 5pm.

Families can celebrate Father's Day or jazz fans can simply enjoy the array of favorites on offer during the day including Ingrid James Quartet, Pugsley Buzzard & The Howler, the Australian Brisbane Army Band with a tribute to the Andrew Sisters and lots more.

So pick up your picnic blanket and pack up your family and friends and head down to the free Jazz in the Woods concert.

"Jazz in the Woods" is a Noosa tradition and is embraced by the community on all levels. Born from humble beginnings 18 years ago, it is now a pinnacle part of the three-day festival and draws thousands of people down Hastings Street into a sea of music.

The concert always delivers a cross section of traditional jazz, swing, blues and big band entertainment, with the inclusion of some of Queensland's premium school big bands. The event draws a wide cross section of locals and interstate tourists who enjoy a lazy Sunday in the park, soaking up the ambiance of the Festival.

It's a wonderful day for families and friends to enjoy great music, feast at the food hall or potter around the 30 market stalls for a bargain while the kids are entertained with rides and games.

With a full days line-up of entertainment why not park the car and catch the Noosa Riverlight Ferry to the Park for a hassle free day out.
