Go Bush Summer Outdoor Activity Program 2009
KENILWORTH
16. Rainforest walk (moderate)
Come on this ranger-guided walk along the Piccabeen circuit (3.5km--2 hrs return) through hoop pine plantation, rainforest and an impressive palm forest. Learn about the plants and animals that live in this area. Children must be accompanied by an adult --- minimum age 8 years.
When: Wednesday morning 7 January
Where:Charlie Moreland day-use area
Kenilworth State Forest.
Cost: This activity is free of charge. Bookings required.
17. Bush detectives
Become a bush detective and search for clues left by native animals that live right on our doorstep. A short ranger guided walk is included so you can practise your detective skills. Grab a magnifying glass, use your senses and join in the fun. Children must be between the ages of 6 and 10 and accompanied by an adult.

Become a bush detective and search for clues left by native animals that live right on our doorstep. A short ranger-guided walk is included so you can practise your detective skills. Grab a magnifying glass, use your senses and join in the fun. Children must be between the ages of 6 and 10 and accompanied by a paying adult.

19. Mount Tibrogargan circuit walk (moderate)
Hear about the amazing history of the Glass House Mountains and identify local plants and animals. This walk leads around the base of Mount Tibrogargan through casuarina groves, open eucalypt and melaleuca forests.
Appreciate this mountain's beauty without climbing it --- there are wonderful photo opportunities along the way. Morning tea provided. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult --- minimum age 8 years.

Do creatures of the night amaze you --- a slight rustle in the bushes, flapping of unseen wings and a pair of large glowing eyes staring down at you? Come and find out some interesting facts about creatures of the night on this easypaced, guided spotlight walk. End the night with a hot cuppa and a chat. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult --- minimum age 8 years.

There's also the chance to meet and greet some of our scaly friends. With the help of a local wildlife specialist learn some fantastic facts about these misunderstood Aussie battlers. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Bookings confirmed only on receipt of fees. Places will not be held without payment. Family discount: A 'family' consists of two adults and two children.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations by participants made 14 days in advance of activity will receive a credit (to be used within 11 months) or a refund (less $25 processing fee). Less than 14 days receive no credit or refund. Cancellations by the Environmental Protection Agency will result in full refunds or credit (to be used within 11 months). The Environmental Protection Agency reserves the right to determine in consultation with course convenors if activities will proceed or if they should be cancelled because of unfavourable weather or any other reason. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that their activity is going.
