How is your veggie garden after all this rain?
How is your veggie garden after all this rain? Are your zucchinis
like mine- disintegrating with all that wet weather and lack of
sunshine? Are your lettuce plants growing too fast and collapsing into a
heap before they mature, and how about those capsicums and eggplants;
they just don't stand a chance with all the rain we've been getting.
The tropical vegetables on the other hand are doing absolutely
fantastic. They thrive in all this humid, hot and rainy weather and they
look absolutely mind boggling with all the growth they've experienced
since the drought broke. There is so much food in the garden that we
can't eat it all!
If you would like to know more about growing and cooking with tropical
vegetables then there will be a new ten week course commencing every
Wednesday at the Yandina community gardens. Contact Elisabeth Fekonia
for a course overview and you will need to book in with TAFE.
