KEVIN RUDD BETRAYS AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL SECURITY
25/10/2009 KEVIN RUDD BETRAYS AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL SECURITY
In an age of transnational terrorism and mass illegal migration it is beyond comprehension the Rudd Government is prepared to place the responsibility for Australia's own border protection in the hands of Indonesia -- an expansionist state guilty of crimes of mass terrorism itself (remember the Timor invasion, Dili massacre and the Balibo five). Worse- Rudd is even prepared to pay millions to avoid providing strong national leadership on this illegal migrant/boatpeople/asylum seeker question lest it dent his cherished personal popularity. Alas, the true nature of the Rudd ALP Government now lies exposed as a spineless rabble with no clear political direction other than servicing its factions' power agendas, the demands of bleeding heart interest groups, and more tragically Kevin Rudd's ego-driven ambition to strut the international stage as a world leader at any cost. On this question of refugees, the latter is most tragic for Australia as it's apparent in his quest to achieve political fame, Rudd has lost
sight of his fundamental responsibility as PM. And that is to ensure the maintenance of our national security remains solely in Australian hands. Surely our diggers, both present and past (particularly in Afghanistan), must be shaking their heads in disgust at such a national betrayal.
