Large numbers expected at historic Australian Party convention
An historic event will take place in Brisbane this weekend when
Katter’s Australian Party holds its first national convention.
The event will gather members and supporters from across the
nation to hear presentations and share views on the change of
direction Australian so desperately needs, and which the
Australian Party will deliver to the Australian people.
Attendees will be treated to addresses from the State and Federal
leaders, Aidan McLindon and Bob Katter, as well as other key
stake holders outlining their vision for a better Queensland. A
number policies and positions will be discussed including a
moratorium on Coal Seam Gas mining, restoring the state’s
manufacturing industries, securing of our State assets and the
removal of unnecessary restrictions on the people of
Queensland.
Positive and common sense policies such as these have seen the
party grown from strength to strength since its birth in June
last year, and it now boasts more than 2000 members. 70 new
members a week undoubtedly makes Katter’s Australian Party the
fastest growing party in Australia. More than 60 candidates have
also signed on and have been well received across Queensland.
With early polls already suggesting more than one quarter of
Queenslanders are likely to vote for Katter’s Australian Party,
the next state election is certainly shaping up as a three horse
race.
