Learn about Staffing Regulations
If you have queries about the regulations around staffing, then
the first meeting of the year of the Noosa Chamber of Commerce
will have the answers. Its invited speaker is Graeme
Haycroft, a national leader in the field of industrial relations
negotiations and workplace reform.
Members and non-members of the chamber are invited to Trio’s
Restaurant on the River at the Noosa Marina from 5.30pm, with the
speaker beginning at 6pm. This will also be an opportunity to
discuss, suggest and hear the issues the chamber will address
this year.
Speaker Graeme Haycroft, of the Haycroft Group, has, for the past
20 years, developed employment mechanisms for enterprise-level
bargaining. works out workplace staffing solutions for business
of all sizes. Mr Haycroft pioneered Collective Workplace
Agreements in the late 1980s. Since then, his breakthrough
achievements include the introduction of one of the major events
in industrial relations in Australian history - the
sub-contract shearing at Charleville, allowing flexibility of
shearing operations and played a critical role in setting up a
series of union-free high-rise construction sites on the Sunshine
Coast, reducing building costs.
In the late 1980’s Graeme’s firm arranged almost half of
Queensland’s enterprise agreements. He remains actively involved
in labour market reform, most recently as chairperson of the LNP
Queensland Small Business and Industrial Relations Policy
Committee.
Former roles include: President, Sunshine Coast Jaycees;
Chairman, Caloundra Chamber of Commerce; Chairman, National Party
Queensland Industrial Relations policy committee; Chairman,
