5 March 2010 Local residents invited to Slipper's FREE sausage sizzles
Free sausage sizzles are being hosted next week in Kawana Forest, Dicky Beach and Sippy Downs by local Federal Member for Fisher Peter Slipper.
The events continue Mr Slipper's series of community consultations that aim to provide local residents with opportunities to discuss key local issues with their local elected member.
"With so many people leading such busy lives during the week, with work and school drop-offs and the like, it is often difficult to find time to do many things," Mr Slipper said.
"The local sausage sizzles will give me an opportunity to meet residents in an informal and relaxed environment to share discussions on a wide variety of issues."
The sausage sizzles are on Saturday 13 March at:
* Kawana Forest Park, White Cedar Drive, Kawana Forest 9am - 11am,
* Dicky Beach Park, Beerburrum St, Dicky Beach, 12noon-2pm, or
* Eaton Park, Cnr Eaton and Fitzwilliam Streets, Sippy Downs, 3pm - 5pm
Further free sausage sizzles are also planned in the coming weeks at Montville, Maleny, Conondale, Eudlo, Glasshouse and Beerburrum. Meantime, special community meetings are planned at Mooloolaba, Pelican Waters, Caloundra, Buddina (Electorate Office), Landsborough, Mooloolah and Beerwah.
"This is a great opportunity for me to speak directly with local residents and to listen to the issues that concern them," said Mr Slipper.
