No more stunts Mr Newman, release your jobs modelling today: Fraser
Instead of indulging himself in yet another stunt, Campbell
Newman should immediately release the 'modelling' he said he had
on his jobs pledge made on Tuesday.
Deputy Premier Andrew Fraser said it was becoming increasingly
clear that Mr Newman's stunts and slogans were backed up by zero
substance.
"Mr Newman's first major election promise is quickly unravelling
because he refuses to release the modelling he told everyone he
has," Mr Fraser said.
"Already a respected economist has rubbished his latest stunt,
and for the last two days we haven't seen hide nor hair of Mr
Newman and his so-called 'modelling'.
"He probably hasn't left the lift he scampered off to when he was
running away from the press gallery.
"He must release the modelling on his jobs pledge, and he must
reveal how he will fund his $5 billion in pre-election
promises.
"The Bligh Government is bringing the budget back to surplus a
year early in 2014-15. Mr Newman can't say if he would ever
deliver a surplus as Premier.
"No more stunts Mr Newman. Have the courage to release your jobs
modelling and tell Queenslanders how you'd get the budget to
surplus when you've already spent over $5 billion - and the
election hasn't even started yet."
Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for State
Development and Trade
The Honourable Andrew Fraser
