Overnight the oil slick has entered the Maroochy River. See Photos.
It has not reached as far as the mangroves which is good. See photo of mangroves with no oil.
Calling for a boom to go across the River to stop any further spread of oil.
I am about to go out in a boat and search for any slicks as you can't see them from the river bank.

I've just had a report that a globby slick is near Island. Going out to check.
