Queensland's 2012 Australia Day Ambassadors spread the spirit of Australia Day
Premier Anna Bligh today announced that 34 Australia Day
Ambassadors will help bring Queensland communities together to
celebrate our national day.
"Through the Australia Day Ambassador Program, regional and
metropolitan communities throughout Queensland will have the
unique opportunity to share their stories with some of
Queensland's best and brightest at their local Australia Day
celebrations," Ms Bligh said.
"The program enables us to send high achieving and inspirational
Queenslanders from diverse fields and backgrounds to local
councils for Australia Day."
"Chosen for the positive and worthwhile contributions they have
made to our nation in areas such as sport, business,
philanthropy, science and the arts, these 34 Australia Day
Ambassadors will enrich celebrations across the state."
The 2012 Queensland Australia Day Ambassadors contributing to
Australia Day celebrations are:

The Australia Day Ambassador Program is an initiative of the
National Australia Day Council in partnership with Woolworths and
supported by the Queensland Government.

sponsorship of the Australia Day Ambassador Program, is proud to
spread the Australia Day spirit during this important national
day of celebration.
The Queensland Government has proudly supported and coordinated
