Reaching out to Sunshine Coast separated parents
Separation can be tough on all involved, and the Child Support Agency says a face-to-face discussion can really help parents work through many issues and get access to information and support.
The CSA does monthly visits to Centrelink offices at Noosa, Nambour, Kawana and Caloundra. In addition, CSA is now conducting regular visits to the Family Relationship Centre in Primary School Court, Maroochydore.
The next CSA outreach visit will be on Friday September 4 at Caloundra Centrelink, 54 Canberra Terrace, from 9am to 4pm.
People interested in an appointment can ring the Child Support Agency on 131 272.
Child Support customers can also go online to update their details, and communicate with CSA staff, at csa.gov.au.
27/8/2009 Child Support Agency to visit Caloundra
Child Support Agency (CSA) staff will visit Caloundra soon to ensure separated parents have access to local assistance on child support matters.
CSA staff will be available for appointments at Caloundra Centrelink, 54 Canberra Terrace, from 9am to 4pm on Friday September 4.
People interested in an appointment are encouraged to ring (07) 5470 9790.
CSA Maroochydore Team Leader Christel Youl said the CSA sought to provide regular service to separated parents within the Sunshine Coast area with monthly visits to Noosa, Nambour, Kawana and Caloundra.
In addition, CSA is now conducting regular visits to the Family Relationship Centre, 43--45 Primary School Court, Maroochydore.
"We have extended our service to include regular visits to areas with a higher density of child support cases," she said.
"The visiting services are also ideal for parents who might have difficulty with their hearing or have trouble understanding information over the phone. Often when you speak to someone face-to-face, complex information can be easier to understand.
"Parents can also meet with CSA staff at the CSA's Maroochydore Regional Service Centre, co-located with Centrelink at 5-7 Maud Street, during business hours."
Ms Youl said customers were also encouraged to use the CSAonline service on the CSA website at www.csa.gov.au, to update their personal details online and communicate with CSA staff.
"Our website also has a Community Services Directory and useful tools such as a Care Estimator and the Child Support and Family Tax Benefit Estimator," she said.
