RSPCA needs volunteers!
Do you like working with animals and enjoy meeting new people? If
so you may like to consider volunteering with the RSPCA.
RSPCA regional Shelters and adoption centres are in urgent need
of volunteers to help with a multitude of tasks such as walking
dogs, cleaning pens and helping with customer service.
“Some of the shelters are really experiencing problems with the
workload,” said RSPCA Qld spokesman Michael Beatty. “Volunteers
are the lifeblood of the RSPCA and without them we simply
couldn’t exist. Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding and you
have the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping to give most
animals a second chance.”
Volunteer roles are available 7 days per week and all volunteers
attend a Volunteer Orientation and Level 1 of Four Paws Forward
training on their first day with further training provided
through out the year.
Current volunteer roles are listed on RSPCA Qld’s website –
www.rspcaqld.org.au .
The regional shelters in need of volunteers are Cairns,
Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Gympie, Noosa, Kingaroy,
Toowoomba and Dakabin.
So if you’d like to make a difference to the lives of all
creatures-great and small- simply go to the website and follow
