Same old story: More slogans and still no substance from Newman

Deputy Premier Andrew Fraser said Campbell Newman's so-called property and construction strategy has fallen flat, with the LNP Leader again unable to explain the detail around how he'll pay for his pre-election spending spree.

"Campbell Newman's shown today that the only property development he takes a keen interest in is his own family's" Mr Fraser said.

"You can't believe him when he says he didn't know anything about his wife's numerous multi-million dollar property dealings, just like you can't believe him on any of the pre-election stunts he's made.

"Again, he talked up his property policy announcement well before today, only to re-announce an unfunded promise Tim Nicholls made last June and a pledge to create a new committee.

"He needs to explain where the $940 million is coming from for his stamp duty promise. Until then it simply cannot be believed.

"No detail and no substance - just more motherhood statements with no detail and no costings.

"The only real initiative was overruling Tim Nicholls to pledge support for the Bligh Government's Building Boost - a policy strongly supported by industry but up until now dismissed by the LNP.

"Mr Newman should tell Queenslanders which projects he'll cut and which jobs he'll slash to pay for his $940 million stamp duty promise.

"Campbell Newman declared his own campaign underway a week and a half ago. When is he going to stop the stunts and come clean with the people of Queensland?

"So far it's a lot of no can do."
