Statement on CMC inquiry into misconduct allegations
Premier Anna Bligh has today welcomed the announcement by the Crime and Misconduct Commission of a public hearing into allegations of official misconduct involving a former ministerial adviser.
Ms Bligh said the allegations involving former advisor Simon Tutt were very serious and required a thorough and independent assessment.
"This decision is further evidence of the CMC's ability to act as a Standing Commission of Inquiry, to act independently and to act in the public interest," Ms Bligh said.
