Nambour Christian College
Nambour Christian College was established in 1980 and has grown to be one of the most respected educational institutions in Queensland. Uniquely situated on a 20 hectare site and nestled amongst natural rainforest, the campus abounds in native plants, birds and animals and provides an ideal environment for the academic, cultural and sporting pursuits offered at the College.
An exceptional teaching and administrative team provides support, nurture and encouragement for the more than 1200 students enrolled at the College. We offer students (Pre-Prep to Year 12) an optimum learning environment based on timeless Christian values and delivered with a sense of passion, enthusiasm and fun.
Christian values, exceptional facilities, dedicated teaching staff, great location and a genuinely supportive and caring environment all add up to a unique offering for our students.

TEACHERS
Students are placed in the care of committed Christian teachers who endeavour to nurture the academic, physical, social and spiritual growth of each child. A high standard of behaviour is expected in the classroom, playground and when on the bus. Teachers encourage the involvement of parents in day to day activities, e.g. reading and general classroom help, excursions and camps.

While these key learning areas form the basis of our Primary Curriculum, at Nambour Christian College we underpin all teaching with a Christian world view.
Interschool sport, computing and an intensive music program are some of the additional components which provide a well-rounded Primary Curriculum.
MIDDLE SCHOOL INFORMATION
The Middle School for Years 7, 8 and 9 is part of an integrated learning program that begins at Nambour Christian College in Pre-Prep/Prep and flows through to Year 12. However, because adolescence is a distinct developmental phase, it requires a unique response. This initiative sits comfortably within the College's Mission Statement "to provide a secure and supportive Christ-centred learning community, where a commitment to excellence, creativity and service is encouraged and modelled."

AIMS AND PHILOSOPHY
The Middle School is the bridge between Primary and Senior schooling. It aims to nurture, stimulate and challenge students. The twin goals of pursuing academic excellence and growing students into the example of Jesus are also contained in our Mission Statement.

To ensure that all students have the opportunity of reaching their full potential, the curriculum has been re-designed with an innovative, integrated and practically oriented focus. The activity-based emphasis more adequately meets the needs of young adolescents.
In brief, the Nambour Christian College Middle School aims to combine fresh and relevant academic challenges within a safe, secure, nurturing environment. The emphasis is on SECURITY, SUPPORT and SUCCESS.
