Mike Middleton has spent his entire career in film and television. Starting out way back in 1976 as a stills photographer he worked for a couple of years productively before joining the ABC at Gore Hill in Sydney as a full time camera assistant, achieving a position as a fully graded cinecameraman a few years later. Whilst at the ABC he worked on numerous well known TV programmes including News, Current Affairs, Documentaries, and Drama. Gaining acclaim as a competent drama camera operator he went on to achieve a reputation as a very prominent lighting cameraman. During his Career at the ABC Mike was given the opportunity to partake in the first videotape operators course to become one of the first Betacam cameramen on news and current affairs, thus giving him the opportunity to become fast and accurate in electronic news gathering and field production.

Mike's experience was ideal for him to embark on his freelance career. Things really started to happen when he resigned from the ABC and purchased his own camera the first SP BETACAM in Sydney. His popularity and reputation for being extremely fast and technically competent around the Sydney networks gave Mike constant work and his corporate clients grew to a point where he was constantly working on quality shoots. Mike is known for his dedication to achieving the best possible result within the budget allocated and even more importantly within the time frames allocated, getting the visual message across whilst ensuring customer satisfaction all in a days work.
