Suburb of residence -- I was raised in Samford and completed my schooling in Mitchelton. I settled with my wife Gwen and two children in Nambour in 1985 and then in Bli Bli in 1991. My son Travis was born in Nambour General Hospital in 1991.
Occupation -- I completed a Mechanical apprenticeship in 1983 and started in business as a Farm Machinery dealer in 1984. My business, TICSA, moved to Nambour in 1985 and presently employs 17 staff. We have invented and developed farming equipment that reduces the volume of chemicals sprayed onto strawberries by 50% and the volume of water used by 30%, both of which have had a very positive impact environmentally and financially to strawberry farms. I am currently three quarters of the way through an MBA with the Sunshine Coast University.
Passion -- Flying small aircraft and I really enjoy taking Nambour PCYC kids for their first flights.

FIVE key local issues

1. The Traveston Crossing Dam and flooding of the Mary Valley forever, The Northern Pipeline2 and the associated trauma that they cause to residents lives. The LNP policy is NO DAM and NO PIPELINE. 2. Health -- Like many members of our community I am deeply concerned about the state of our health system. As part of Lawrence Springborg's LNP team I will work hard to ensure that Nambour Hospital will provide a nurse, a doctor and a bed when you need them the most.

3. Raising our education standards is critical to our children's future success. I have served on our P&C at Nambour High School including a term as President. I believe improvements can be made through smaller classes and stronger curriculum. As part of the LNP team, I will help introduce more teachers for special needs children and provide more teacher aides for prep classes. 4. The state of the Bruce Highway is a major safety concern for people who travel between Cooroy and Curra. I will work closely with locals to identify solutions to these problems and will fight to deliver a safer highway.

5. Ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with the growth in our communities. Nambour and Nicklin have been left behind over the last 11 years compared to the rest of the Coast. I remember when Nambour was a great place to shop and work with easy parking. By being part of the LNP team I can and will fight to ensure that our communities get their fair share of infrastructure.
