Let the Inner Showgirl Shine!

The Events Centre and XS Entertainment are giving Sunshine Coast ladies the opportunity to learn the basics of burlesque, before enjoying La La Parlour's scandalous new show, Tarnished.

Burlesque, the art of the tease, evolved in the music halls and theatres of the 1940's, when a glimpse of stocking was considered shocking and striptease meant gorgeous corsets, decadence, glamour and a cheeky pin-up girl attitude.

These days, the modern burlesque look is all about skirts, high heels and more importantly, style -- and the ladies of the Sunshine Coast are invited to come and play!

The perfect start to a girl's night out, participants will learn the basic burlesque strut, poses and easy choreography in a fun, supportive environment. They will get a glimpse of the 'less is more' glamour that sets apart a showgirl - immaculate makeup, stilettos, seamed stockings, painted nails and lacy lingerie (the lacier the better!), With no dance experience is required, even the most reticent can feel confident they have what it takes to bring a little burlesque back!

Ladies of the Sunshine Coast - get the girls together, get glamorous and get ready to enjoy some mischievous antics before dinner and the performance of Tarnished.

The Burlesque Basics Workshop will be at The Events Centre on Friday July 3 from 3pm, followed by dinner and the performance of La La Parlour's Tarnished.

Dinner is inclusive of a two course meal and a glass of bubbles or house wine. Show-only tickets are available for $25.50 and $22.70 for members and concession holders.
