Noosa Arts Theatre
presents
CINDERELLA
A POPULAR MUSICAL CLASSIC BY JIM EILER & JEANNE BARGY
Get ready to join Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming
in a wonderful musical journey at Noosa Arts Theatre that has the
winning theatrical ingredients of song, dance, comedy and spectacle!
Cinderella is 90 minutes of entertainment which will delight your
little prince and princess!
Both children and adults will laugh at the nearsighted whimsical king and the zany Fairy Godmother and her two comical helpers.
Bright costumes will be matched by some advanced technology scenery
that will transform the stage and create a beautiful palace for the
famous ball scene.
Johanna Wallace, the Director of Cinderella, has a passion for
developing the emerging generation of actors. She currently teaches
drama at the Sunshine Coast Academy of Dance and Dramatic Arts and
Global Village Noosa, an International English College.
"Cinderella is an altogether delightful production, full of laughter, mischief and love." says Johanna.
Musical Director, Pam Sage, Pam was a classroom music teacher at Noosa
District Sate High School until recently and was a musical director for
numerous school musicals. Pam was also vocal director for The Full
Monty and The Producers.
Yvie Somerville, the Fairy Godmother, trained as an actress in London
and appeared in several B.B.C and I.T.V productions. At Noosa Arts
Theatre she won Best Female Actor in the One Act Play Festival in 2008
for her role as Meredith Hamilton-Myrtens in Eulogy.
Cinderella, Tiara Togatia, has been learning dance for 6 years and has
performed in many school musicals and church productions. She played
Cecille in the Noosa Arts production of Annie last year.
Tiara joins a talented line up of young actors Ebony Hamecek, Andre
Butterworth, Darcy Hynes, Edward Manning and Elliott Hynes. Elliott
Hynes, the Prince, was part of the cast of Shout at Caloundra and
played Razoul in Alladin at Nambour. He has also won awards for short
films. You can also see young Ebony Hamecek doing gigs with her guitar
on weekends at The Boat House and at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club.
This pantomime is fun for the whole family and is particularly suited for ages 3 to 10.
Noosa Arts Theatre is staging Cinderella on Saturdays - Jan 9, 16, 23
