Everyone is invited to be part of Huge Chalk Art Work
Huge work of art in the park for
just one day
Everyone is invited to Noel Burns Park, opposite Warloo Street in
Wurtulla, to create a work of art on the path that runs through the
park, as part of the Sunshine Coast Council's TreeLine region-wide,
eco-art festivities which aim to build environmental awareness through
art.
The creation of the huge work of art will begin at 3.30pm and go until
5pm on Saturday 27 March.
It is all part of the 10th anniversary of the Caloundra Regional
Gallery.
Sunshine Coast Councillor Keryn Jones said the creation of a massive
chalk art work will bring the community together to celebrate this
beautiful environment, forever protected for us all.
"This is a chance for us let our imaginations run free, allowing nature
to inspire what might be previously well-hidden artistic abilities," she
said.
"Even if we don't discover artistic abilities, it will be fun, and will
be a strong show of support for our natural environment, with others who
care deeply about this area."
Email us to let us know how much chalk we'll need on phone 5499 5135
between 7.30am and 3.30pm by 18 March.
