Flicks in the Sticks 'Alice in Wonderland'
JOIN ALICE IN NOOSA'S VERY OWN WONDERLAND
Outdoor Cinema 'Flicks in the Sticks' is back from a winter break with a screening of 'Alice in Wonderland' on Saturday 25 September -- a fundraiser for Noosa Sea Scouts, at their grounds at 11 Eumundi Road Noosaville. This family friendly outdoor movie is open to everyone.
Flicks in the Sticks Director Steve Beardsley says the screening of 'Alice in Wonderland' is being presented to raise much needed funds for the Noosa Sea Scouts and all monies raised will go towards the purchase of new camping equipment.
"Come along from 5pm to get yourself a spot, in preparation for the screening to start around 6.30pm," says Steve. "And make sure you bring something to sit on -- a picnic rug, chair, or even beanbag".
"We'll have food available from 6pm -- with popcorn and all the necessary movie munchies," Steve says.
The Noosa Sea Scouts will be cooking up a storm with a sausage sizzle and bbq from 5.30pm too," he says.
"Come along for what will be a great night -- and join Alice in Noosa's very own wonderland!"
A bit about the movie...
Alice, an unpretentious and individual 19-year-old, is betrothed to a dunce of an English nobleman. At her engagement party, she escapes the crowd to consider whether to go through with the marriage and falls down a hole in the garden after spotting an unusual rabbit. Arriving in a strange and surreal place called "Underland," she finds herself in a world that resembles the nightmares she had as a child, filled with talking animals, villainous queens and knights, and frumious bandersnatches. Alice realizes that she is there for a reason--to conquer the horrific Jabberwocky and restore the rightful queen to her throne
