Free Clogging Lessons
CLOGGING is an American Folk Dance with roots buried deep in the heart of the USA Appalachian Mountains where, in the mid 1700's, various immigrant groups brought their traditional folk dances, and some of these dances have survived in modern form. For those of you who visited this year's Muster in Gympie, you would have had the opportunity to learn a few of the basic steps in clogging. Want to continue? Or better yet, want to see what Clogging is all about.?
NO -- it's not dancing in wooden shoes - it's a very energetic form of line dancing done with taps on your shoes. No partner is required so you can learn at your own pace without affecting anybody else, and wear your comfortable enclosed shoes. (TAPS COME LATER) The music used covers a broad range from country through rock and beyond.
Wear your comfortable clothes and shoes and come along to the introductory nights at the Little Hall at the Square Dance Centre, 260 Dixon Road, Buderim at 7.30pm on Wednesdays 6th and 13th October and have some fun. Contact Bev on 5445 1238 for all enquiries
