HOMEGROWN 2010
This year the Homegrown Festival, an initiative of Lifeline SEDS and AMPED (Sunshine Coast Regional Council -- A-venue), celebrates its 10th year and its set to be bigger then ever before! Homegrown is happening on April 9th and 10th as part of MANIFEST Youth Art Festival from April 3rd-18th and is a free youth festival that aims to showcase the talents of local, Qld and interstate artists on the beautiful foreshores of Sunshine Coast's Alexandra Headland (Right on the Beach).
Homegrown is run by young people for young people and includes not only the exceptional bands but skate and surfing comps, rides, markets, street performers and a speak out tent to give young people the chance to have their say about our community. The festival has harboured some of the countries best live entertainment such as COG, The Butterfly Effect, Melodyssey, The Daylight Curse, Bodyjar and many more. Not to mention all the local talent that has graced the stage!
