John Williamson

Date: Sunday 22nd November 2009
Location: the Function Centre, Caloundra

In 2010 John celebrates 40 years in the industry since releasing 'Old Man Emu'.

HILLBILLY ROAD is John's first album of all new songs in 3 years. Reaching #1 on ARIA's country charts, the freshly penned ballads are inspired by his rural retreat in the Queensland hinterland. With the father-daughter inspired ballad 'Cydi' to 'Pmarra Knatcha (My Home in the Bush)' co-written with Warren H. Williams, Golden Guitar winning 'Australia Is Another Word for Free' and the movingly honest' Dark Irish Eyes' John's audiences will be entertained for over 2 hours.

The HILLBILLY ROAD tour spans the East Coast, Perth, Sydney, North Queensland and South Australia. The tour also features John's renowned yarns from the bush plus our old favourite singalong crowd pleasers including 'Rip Rip Woodchip', 'True Blue' and 'Waltzing Matilda' and 'Old Man Emu'. John has become an international Aussie icon, renowned for his love of the bush with a swag of accolades.
