Ken Stanger exhibition

Dates: Friday 1st January 2010 to Sunday 31st January 2010
Location: Yandina Historic House, Yandina

This Month  local Artist Ken Stanger has put together an exhibition of paintings inspired by the local area and  his recent trips overseas...  His use of bold colour and unusual view points helps to make this body of work an interesting exhibition.

Yandina Historic House Background Information:

Yandina Historic House was originally built in Bridges in 1897-1900 for John Gustave Sommer. From 1910 -1923 the house changed hands six times, finally ending up in the possession of Benjamin Morgan Williams. The house remained in the Williams family until the Main Roads resumed it in 1996 and had it relocated to the present site. In 2001 restoration on the house was started and finally completed in 2003..

Yandina Historic House has become the towns Tourist Information Centre and Fine Art Gallery.

The House is Open Daily from 9.30am to 4pm. Free Admission.
Devonshire Tea and Coffee or a light lunch are also available at the house.

There is also a Historical Society Photo display, memorabilia and information as well as Gifts and Crafts.

The Gallery comprises of both Traditional And Contemporary paintings as well as a large variety of conventional and not so conventional Ceramics.

Yandina House showcases some of the Sunshine Coasts very talented Artists. Landscapes / Local scenes, Still life and Animal Life all come together to make up a very diverse exhibition of work...
