Launch of 2010 Sunshine Coast Outstanding Business Woman of the Year
Search for outstanding business woman commences
The search for the 2010
Sunshine Coast Outstanding Business Woman of the Year will commence when
some of the Coast's most successful and influential women meet for
lunch at the Hyatt Regency Coolum on Friday, April 16.
The lunch
marks the launch of the highly prestigious awards which recognise women
who have made an outstanding contribution to business on the Sunshine
Coast across a number of categories.
Sue Willis, President of the
Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network which hosts the awards,
believes we are very fortunate to have so many exceptional women in
business on the Coast.
"The awards recognise the remarkable women
who operate on the Sunshine Coast and each year the calibre of
nominations exceeds our expectations," Sue said.
"If you have a
colleague, friend, relative or partner who is outstanding in their field
of expertise, we encourage you to nominate them. It is really simple
to make a nomination and the outcome is very rewarding for those who
participate in the submission process."
Entries are currently
open across four categories - corporate, micro/small business,
professional and young business woman, with the overall winner taking
home the coveted title of Outstanding Business Woman of the Year.
The
major sponsors for this year's awards include the Sunshine Coast Daily,
The University of the Sunshine Coast Faculty of Business, Garland
Waddington Solicitors, ANZ and Telstra Country Wide.
Those
attending the launch event will have the opportunity to hear from the
2008 Outstanding Business Woman of the Year, Vicki Clark who will host
the event as well as guest speaker, Debbi Smith.
Debbi, an
ex-policewoman who worked on the Fitzgerald Inquiry, now runs the
Sunshine Coast Division of an International Traders Education Company
and acts as a personal mentor to help clients such as renowned
international speaker, Amanda Gore, find their true alignment.
