OKLAHOMA
"Oklahoma! was the first musical written by composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. Set in Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the century outside the town of Claremore in 1906, it tells the story of cowboy Curly McLain and his romance with farm girl Laurey Williams amid the simmering tension between the traditional land occupiers, the Cowboys, and the farmers who have moved into the territory and changed its landscape forever. As well as Curly and Laurey, Oklahoma! features other equally loveable characters such as Aunt Eller, Will Parker and Ado Annie and also features a great range of memorable songs. Songs such as 'Oklahoma!', 'Oh, what a beautiful morning', 'I'm just a girl who can't say no', and many more."
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical tale of young love set on the rolling plains.
This show has it all! A great story, songs you know and love. Directed by Neil Pattenden.
