Open Cockpit Weekend

Dates: Saturday 4th July 2009 to Sunday 5th July 2009
Location: Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra

Fly high at Open Cockpit Weekend

The French designed and built Djinn helicopter is over 50-years-old and will be on display for the first time during the Qld Air Museum's annual Open Cockpit weekend at Caloundra Airport, Pathfinder Drive, on July 4-5. A visiting Navy Sea King helicopter will also be on display. Get a feel for being up in the air with a hot air balloon flight up to 30 metres, subject to weather. Or let your imagination fly high inside the cockpit of a menacing jet fighter, perhaps a droning bomber or any one of more than 25 complete aircraft, including a Spitfire, in one of Australia's finest air museums.

Open 10am to 4pm. Admission: Adult $9, child $6, concession $7, family $22.
