Peter Heuscher Exhibition 'Life is Ever Changing'
Peter Heuscher Exhibition 'Life is Ever Changing'
in Pomona 15 November to 12 December 2008
- a fundraiser for the Cancer Council Queensland, Noosa Branch
An
art exhibition, 'Life is ever changing and so are my paintings', will
be opened at the Old Railway Station Art Gallery in Pomona on 15th
November with a selection of recent artwork from multi award winning
Noosa Hinterland artist, Peter Heuscher.
The exhibition, with
artwork from the Swiss-Australian painter Peter Heuscher, will raise
funds with a share of the proceeds going to the local branch of the
Cancer Council Queensland to support local residents who are touched by
this disease.
Having had heart surgery himself last year, Peter
said that the title of the exhibition 'Life is ever changing' is a
truth well-known to anyone who is diagnosed with a life threatening
disease. Peter said, 'I want to support the reformed Noosa Branch of
the Cancer Council Queensland because they are focussing on local
people and local solutions'.
Peter is donating one of his
original oil paintings 'After the rain' (510mm x 410mm) valued at
$750.00 to the cause and is looking forward to raising funds through
raffle ticket donations of $10 or more. All funds will be donated to
the Noosa Branch of the Cancer Council Queensland.
Jonette
Wilton, publisher and editor of Noosa Hinterliving magazine and chair
of the Noosa Branch Cancer Council Queensland will draw the winner by
the end of the exhibition 12th December 2008.
Peter lives and
works in Cooroibah and is well known for his magnificent flower
close-ups, powerful land - and cityscape colours, delightful mixed
media paintings and strong abstracts. There will be some of his
'highlights' on show in Pomona. Peter's work can be found in private
collections in Australia and Overseas.
'I am painting what I
love, what moves me, what I'm interested in and sometimes - what I'm
feeling, dreaming and remember' Peter points out. That is why his
repertoire reaches from flowers to Hinterland icons and from abstracts
to 'dreams'
Join Peter and Jonette Wilton (Cancer Council
Queensland, Noosa Branch Chairman) for an exciting peek at Peter's
world at the opening on Saturday 15th November 2-4pm. The president of
Pomona Art and Tourism Inc. Stephen Hilditch will be opening the
exhibition at the 'Railway carriage' of the Old Railway Station Art
Gallery 10 Station St, Pomona.
