Slipper and Powell to host FREE sausage sizzles

Federal Member for Fisher Peter Slipper has confirmed he will be accompanied by State Member for Glass House Andrew Powell at the free sausage sizzles on April 10 in Eudlo, Glass House Mountains and Beerburrum.

Mr Powell will also attend the sausage sizzles at Montville and Maleny on April 17.

The events provide local residents with opportunities in their own communities to discuss key local issues with their local elected members.

"Many local residents live very busy lives during the week, with school drop-offs, and work and other commitments, so it is often difficult to find time to do things like visit your local member of parliament," Mr Slipper said.

"The local sausage sizzles will give residents a chance to catch up with me and Andrew in an informal and relaxed environment to share discussions on a wide variety of topics and issues."

The sausage sizzles are on Saturday 10 April at:
*    Eudlo Town Park and Tennis Club (9am - 11am),
*    Uniting Park, Ryan Street, Glass House Mountains (12noon-2pm), or
*    Pioneer Park, Beerburrum (3pm - 5pm).

Further free sausage sizzles are also being held on Saturday 17 April at:
*    The Village Green, Montville (9am -- 11am), or
*    Tesch Park, Maleny (12noon -- 2pm).

"These sausage sizzles are relaxed and informal; they are a great opportunity to speak directly with local residents and to hear about the issues that concern them," Mr Powell said.
