Public meeting called for conservation bushland at Mudjimba
What: Councillor Blumel and Environmental Operations will host a public
meeting to discuss management outcomes for the bushland conservation
reserve in Mudjimba
Where: Cottonwood St, Bushland Conservation Reserve (BCR)
When: 4 December, 9.30 am
Cr Blumel is encouraging residents to attend a public meeting at the
Cottonwood St, Bushland Conservation Reserve on 4 December, to discuss
the ongoing management of the area.
The meeting aims to explore ways in which the local community can become involved in the management of this reserve.
Cottonwood St, BCR protects over 100 of the Coast's native plant
species and is essential habitat for three Vulnerable Acid frogs - the
Wallum Froglet , Wallum Rocketfrog and Wallum Sedgefrog.
Residents interested in the management of the reserve, or with an
interest in helping with on the ground activities are invited to come
along. The outcome of the meeting will guide the site plan for this
important wetland area.
