Public Talk with acclaimed Tibetan Buddhist master His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche

Date: Wednesday 13th October 2010
Location: Millwell Road Community Centre, Maroochydore

Often we hope for permanence in situations where we should accept the inevitability of change and loss. We are encouraged to doubt what we can actually rely on and have faith in. Hope and doubt are two of the three emotions that create instability in our trust and inner-confidence. During this public talk Dzogchen Rinpoche will explain why we are constantly fooled by our emotions and that only when we learn how not to take them too seriously, can we experience genuine happiness and peace. Dzogchen Rinpoche is the lineage holder and head of Dzogchen Monastery in South India, one of the six major Nyingma monasteries and leads a further 280 branch monasteries throughout Tibet. Dzogchen Rinpoche is the seventh incarnation of the great Pema Rigdzin and is revered both as a scholar and for his realisation of the Dzogchen teachings.

Recently honoured by the Tibetan Government in Exile for his outstanding contribution to the welfare of the Tibetan people, Dzogchen Rinpoche is regularly invited to share his practical wisdom with audiences around the world. As part of his Australian tour Dzogchen Rinpoche will be holding a public talk in Maroochydore, and a three day retreat in Tuchekoi Qld.
