"Brigadoon" - A musical play

"Brigadoon" - A musical play, produced to raise funds for Lifeline Community Care is a must for all to see.  It's the story of romance that blooms in a village settlement situated in the far off highlands of Scotland, a quaint mythical place stumbled upon by two weary American game hunters who lose their way.

Far from the world of commerce and touched by the mist of time, romance blooms.  Songs and sounds of ancient Scotland bring this musical fantasy into the realms of belief.  The musical story of Brigadoon is a delightful must for all to enjoy.

Only in Brigadoon can two separate cultures merge within the simple and ancient ways of humble folk as two young lovers are brought together entangled in time and an irresistible setting of mist and heather.

With a cast of forty, Brigadoon is directed by Chris Lancaster and supported by The Nazlife Concert Orchestra, the Noosa District Pipe Band and the Gordon School of Highland Dancing.

As the mythical story unfolds, audiences are left with a sense of pleasure and delight with songs forever reminding them of the songs of Brigadoon.

Brigadoon commences its performance tour opening at the Cleveland Assembly Hall on Saturday 31st January (bookings 3821 2225), Redcliffe Cultural Centre on Saturday 7th February (bookings 3283 0407), Nambour Hungerford Hall Saturday 14th February and Lake Kawana Community Centre on Saturday 21st February (bookings at Kerry's Keyboards on 5493 4888).  

The final performance will be at Gympie Civic centre on Sunday 8th March at 2 p.m. (bookings in Gympie on 5482 2615).
