Room To Move
ROOM TO MOVE
Rehearsals are in full swing for the BATS Theatre Co Inc final production for the year, "Room to Move", a comedy written by Hannie Rayson and directed by Kennedy Fox. Hannie Rayson is one of Australia's leading playwrights (Hotel Sorrento, Falling From Grace and Life After George) and has been the recipient of numerous awards including four Helpmann awards and two Australian Writers Guild awards. Her television credits include the ABC's "Seven Deadly Sins" and a number of episodes of "Sea Change".
"Room to Move" is comedy about the impact of feminism at a time when it has become a permanent third partner in our relationships, particularly the repercussions for a family when a 30 year-old "new man" moves in with their 62 year old mother.
With a talented and experienced cast including Cathy Quinn, Jason Hunt and Sandy
Luscombe, this is one not to be missed.
The show opens with a Gala Opening Night on Friday October 1st at 7pm. Tickets are $25 and include pre-show nibbles, glass of champagne and a program. Bookings are essential.
Other performances are October 2nd, 8th and 9th at 8pm in the Buderim War Memorial Hall with a matinee on Sunday 3rd at 2pm.
