Shadow Attorney General visit
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, will welcome the Shadow
Attorney-General, Senator the Hon George Brandis SC at a dinner at
Gympie on 5th March.
Senator Brandis will deliver a speech entitled "Why Australia does not
need a Bill of Rights".
Senator Brandis has been a leading contributor to debate on the
controversial Bill of Rights and is an authoritative and entertaining
speaker on the issue.
His visit will help local people better understand Labor's Bill of
Rights proposals and their implications for our law and justice system.
