Live snake show for the final children's workshop
The Events Centre's final children's workshop for 2009 will feature
Wild Spirit wildlife carer and educational promoter, Jill Zimmerman,
and her snakes.
Jill, who is based in Buderim, is no stranger to providing live,
educational reptile presentations and holds a Wildlife Demonstrators
Licence through EPA Qld National Parks & Wildlife Service.
"I tailor make my demonstrations to the audience I am working with at
the time, so each demonstration provides a unique experience. The
children will be introduced to a few different pet pythons and together
we will discuss their body and how they move, their skeleton, eyes,
ears and tongue and their senses," said Jill.
"The children will also be introduced to Sunny, my six foot puppet
snake, and I will cover the safety aspect of what to do if you see a
snake. Together we will act out how you should react in such a
situation."
The live snake show children's workshop will be held at The Events
Centre on Tuesday December 1 at 10.30am. Tickets can be purchased by
calling (07) 5491 4240.
Tickets are $6, including fruit platters for morning tea. Complimentary entry for parents. Places are limited.
