A Fundraising Dinner is being held on Thursday 25th February to raise much needed funds for those living with Alzheimer's Disease on the Sunshine Coast.   This will be hosted by PJ Lane, the son of the late Don Lane in an upfront and personal appearance.

We are appealing to local businesses to put together a table of friends and help raise awareness for this vital service.

Access Economics statistics 1.3% of the population of the Sunshine Coast has dementia. The Sunshine Coast is one of the main growth areas for this disease as the aged population in the region is set to expand rapidly. It is anticipated the number of people with dementia in the region will grow to at least 2.3% of the Sunshine Coast population by 2030.This means there is currently over 4500 people with dementia in this region and approximately 10,000 by 2030 as the population increases. Over 60% of people with dementia remain living in the community.
