Centred around the theme Up the Coast, this exhibition celebrates the
history of the Sunshine Coast as a holiday destination. Featuring
objects, photographs and stories from Sunshine Coast community museums
and libraries, the Sunshine Coast Council Art Collection, Bankfoot House
and some private collectors.

Twelve Degrees of Latitude: Regional Gallery and University Art Collections in Queensland
EXHIBITION PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SUNSHINE COAST GALLERY.
Twelve Degrees of Latitude explores how and why Queensland's regional
collections began, their historical roles within their communities, the
role of patronage and donor support, and the strength of Queensland's
statewide regional gallery culture. The exhibition features major
Australian, Indigenous, Pacific, European and other works dating from
the 17th to 21st centuries.

The first public display of art works held by the Sunshine Coast
Council. The showcase exhibition includes gifts, acquisitions and
bequests from leading local and national artists and displays for the
first time, the full set of nine photographs from the 50perCENT series
by Tony Albert, Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2007 winner.
