--------

Welcome to 2009, and a great and growing year it is shaping up to be.

And thank you to those members that worked so hard in 08 -- we have so much to be proud of, we have laid the foundations for building our Veggie Village.

Working bees on Feb 8th and March 1st. And please, remember your obligations as members - we need more hands at working bees. If you can't physically help -- there are lots of other less strenuous task that need doing.

We are very fortunate that Council, again, are subsidising our workshops.

Feb 22 is Permakids and our first workshop on soil building ($10 for members) to kick off planting after the hot months. (If you aren't renewing your plot, please let Lis know: lis4567@tpg.com.auThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )

Highlights - thanks to grants from the State and Federal Govt and help from our rainmakers:
The shelter and rain water tanks are almost complete
Permanent fencing underway
A new shed, furniture to be purchased (yes, another much appreciated grant)

Other highlights to look forward to in 2009:
A very special Looking Forward Looking Back event in October (with funding from Q150)
Frog pond workshop
Cob oven building workshop
Pumpkin Point awards for getting involved
Fresh rainwater collected from the shelter.
