Local Businesses Shown How To "Put Their Money Where Their Market Is"
Sunshine Coast business owners will be treated to another exciting
line-up of Sunshine Coast internet expertise on Wednesday 4 November
with the final Web Wednesday event of the year; a monthly internet and
marketing related event run by award winning local creative agency, The
Creative Collective.
This Web Wednesday event will be sponsored by regional development
agency Sunshine Coast Enterprises, as an addition to the suite of skill
development workshops under the "Tougher Times Smarter Business"
initiative. The workshops have been made possible by a unique
partnership between the Australian Government through the Small
Business Advisory Services program, and Sunshine Coast Regional Council
funding.
Over 70 people attended the last event in mid September on Harnessing
the Power of Social Media, and with this month's event titled 'Put Your
Money Where Your Market Is -- Google Adwords and Facebook Advertising',
it's sure to draw yet another sizeable and knowledge-hungry crowd.
The final Web Wednesday for the year will feature Karen Wiskin of
Growth Marketing who has worked as an SEO/PPC account manager for a top
Sydney and Sunshine Coast agency, and who is both a recognised Yahoo
Search Ambassador & Google AdWords Professional and Michael Bell of
Michael Bell of online marketing and web development agency NSM Digital
who specialise in increasing sales and leads generated from a client's
website through the use of innovative PPC strategies.
"Never before have business owners and marketers had the opportunity to
market via such targeted means," says event organiser and director of
the Creative Collective, Yvette Adams.
"Google Adwords was the best thing since 'sliced bread' when it allowed
business owners to only pay when someone clicked on their ad and not
when it was seen and then introduced the ability to geo-target, that
is, nominate the specific geographic area you wanted your ad to display
in if you only wanted business from a specific area.
"Facebook however have taken things a step further by allowing you the
ability to target on specific demographics such as age, gender, marital
status, level of education and interests. A lot of people don't realise
however what a powerful marketing tool Facebook is for business so we
hope they will come along and find out more about how they can get
started with this great stuff."
At the event, one lucky guest will also have their current Adwords
campaigns analysed with practical suggestions on how they can get their
all important quality score and CTR or click through rate up, and
minimise the amount they are paying per conversion.
The next Web Wednesday event will be held on Wednesday 4 November at
the Mooloolaba Surf Club at 5:30pm. Tickets are just $30 and can be
