Christmas & School Holidays! Insurance rises and other adverse effects seem to be hitting local communities hard when it comes to celebrating Christmas and the School Holidays this year :( The Santa Express in Noosa will not be cruising the suburbs and thrilling the kids, (you can still visit at the station), the major decorations in Tewantin will not be happening, and confirming if Fireworks will be on the Coast Beaches for New Years is proving difficult.. All in All, Christmas is not looking terribly Festive currently. If you do know of what is occurring in your neck of the woods, please let us know so we can confirm it, and get the word out there to our visitors onsite. We have had too many confirmations of cancellations, so some good news that Christmas is still well & truly celebrated on the Sunshine Coast would be great to display!
We are being contacted daily with requests as to "WHAT IS ON", ranging from Restaurants with Xmas Lunches, School Holiday Activities, Gigs in Pubs over the Holidays, Community Festivities, the list goes on.... We are endeavouring to help these Visitors to the site, but we need more please to satisfy the demand!
In a few days we will have our "Christmas, School Holiday" area up live again as we did last year, though we need more information.
If you have not already contacted me with what your group, community, organisation etc. is doing over this period, please do so ASAP. "Add New Event" REMEMBER! All Charity, Community, Non Profit Events are Upgraded to a Full Page complete with Full Text and Graphics for FREE! Sorry, but you Commercial Guys need to pay a 'huge' (NOT) $9.95 per Event to get the same Presentation.
