Christmas Holidays - Celebration to Devastation :(
You would have to be living on Mars to not be aware of and shocked by the Asian Tsunamis... As a Coastal area with the Beach as our own Private Playground we can't help but think that could have been us. For many of us the Christmas Holidays mean the Beach and this natural disaster is a big wakeup call to us all that nature is not always so pleasant as reflected in these shots above of Nationals & Tea Tree taken by the talented Belinda Lee of Bella Designs & Imagery.
BUT! Being aware of our reliance on the Beach has also made the Sunshine Coast people very very generous when it comes to Supporting and Helping out our Asian Neighbours. We have already had a few fundraisers, Surfers 4 Tsunami Relief & the Sunshine Aid Tsunami Fundraiser are only two of many that were on this past weekend, and supported very well.
We have quite a few more coming up, so if you are having a Fundraiser of any type, please let us know, so that we can let others know on the Coast and hopefully help attract even more people with generous hearts and even more generous wallets.
We party hard here on the Sunshine Coast our lifestyle and landscape make us perfect for the multitude of Events that occur and it is wonderful to see so many Coasters putting these skills to work for such a great cause, not to mention the amount of Locals (and our visitors) attending and supporting them! Well Done!
