Short one this week...
Budgets! They are everywhere, Federal, State, Local Council...
I don't know about you, but I have always found it a tad perverse that Governments brag about how much money they are going to spend on us, our services, or future lifestyle, just prior to the Taxation Department taking as much money as possible off us?
In some cases, when funds are NOT allocated to areas where they are really needed & affect us here, I almost feel like asking for a Refund... I mean, if you purchased a service and didn't receive that service you could legally ask for your money back? Unfortunately in the 'Real World', we can't do that :(
Even though all the various budget announcements can be boring, take the time to pay attention. Are funds helping your area? Do you have shocking roads, poor school facilities etc... We voted these decision makers in, so let your feelings be known, raise the issue, make sure our publicly voted representatives are doing just that, representing US!
