Like most Australians we know someone in the UK, and with the bombings in the last 24 hours, your family stress levels with concern for your loved ones wellbeing skyrockets. The news this morning reporting how mobile services were cut which had many people concerned about not being able to contact friends & relatives, was thankfully not a concern for our family, we did know my sister who lives & works in London was fine. Technology was the legend, first the sms saying she is fine, then my mum had a chat with her on messenger, as all you parents out there will know, contact when times are scary and uncertain is wonderful and definitely gets those stress levels down.

So, I guess the moral of this little monologue is... for you out there who are like me, maybe be a little more thankful for the technology that we so readily have at hand. If, you are one of those, (like me), who don't know how to sms on their phone, a little lesson may not hurt, you never know when you will need it. If you have a computer at home, the likes of messenger & skype are free, so maybe get a friend or relative to set you up and actually take advantage of the technology that you might have previously ignored, you don't know when you might be thankful that you have it! I know we are!
